Football: Tickets for state title games now on sale

The Guyer Wildcats and Argyle Eagles returned to practice Monday in preparation of their UIL state championship games this week at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium.

Guyer (13-2), the defending Class 4A Division I state champion, will look to repeat this year when it faces San Antonio Northside Brennan (15-0) at 8 p.m. Friday, while Argyle (15-0) will take on Fairfield (15-0) for the Class 3A Division II state title at 4 p.m. Friday.

Tickets for the Guyer-Brennan game are available at the Guyer High School office through Wednesday from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4 to 4:15 p.m. They will be available Thursday from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets will also be available at C.H. Collins Athletic Complex’s athletic office today and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Presale tickets will cost $12 for adults and $8 for students, and children older than 1 year old will require a ticket. Tickets allow admittance to all three of Friday’s games, including the 3A Division I championship at noon between Carthage and Kilgore.

Tickets for the Argyle-Fairfield game will be available today through Friday at the high school’s front office. Tickets are on sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Thursday, and then from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday.

Tickets purchased at the gate will be $15 and parking is $10. Both games will be televised live on Fox Sports Southwest.
