The Ryan Raiders, fresh off their regional quarterfinal victory over Lake Dallas, will face the Waco Midway Panthers in a best-of-three playoff series in the Class 4A Region I semifinals in Midlothian.
Game 1 of the series will be Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Midlothian High School. Game 2 will be Friday night at 7 p.m. with Game 3, if needed, set for 2 p.m. Saturday.
Ryan (24-9), the District 4-4A champion, advanced to the regional semifinals with a tough series victory over 4-4A runner-up Lake Dallas. Ryan won the opening game 7-2 on Friday night, lost Game 2 on Saturday afternoon 8-2 before wrapping up the series win with a 10-3 win in Game 3.
Midway earned its spot in the regional semifinals with a quarterfinals series sweep of Crowley, winning 8-5 and 5-0.
Wichita Falls Rider, also a runner-up out of 4-4A, will be playing in the other Region 1 semifinal against Cleburne.
