FORT WORTH — Deamonte Hughes had a breakout game with 22 points to lead the Denton Broncos to a 61-57 victory over Fort Worth Brewer.
Adarian Harris added 14 points as the Broncos used a 23-16 third quarter to give themselves a 47-44 lead headed into the fourth quarter.
The win moves the Broncos over .500 at 14-13 on the season and improved to 9-2 in District 5-4A play.
Guyer 48, Lake Dallas 30
The Wildcats had three players in double digits as they defeated the Falcons in District 5-4A action.
Jerrod Heard and Miles Crawford led all players with 15 points each, while Sean Chote added 11. Reality Jackson led the Falcons with 10 points.
With the victory, the Wildcats improved to 20-6 on the season, including 10-1 in district play.
Coppell 58, Ryan 43
COPPELL – Coppell erased a halftime deficit to keep the Raiders winless in district play.
Montarius Banks had 14 points and Nick Jones had nine for Ryan (13-13, 0-7). The Raiders held a four-point halftime lead but was outscored by 19 points in the second half.
Argyle 66, Aubrey 40
AUBREY — Zach Dickerson had 19 points to lead the Eagles over the Chaparrals.
Jonathan Davis added nine points for Argyle, with Spencer McCloud scoring eight. Trevor Gomez led Aubrey with 15 points, while Jevon Saylor added nine.
The win keeps Argyle (21-8) perfect at 6-0 in District 9-3A. The loss moves Aubrey to 19-9 on the season and 2-4 in district play.

AUBREY — Led by Jesse Sheridan’s 13 points, the Lady Eagles earned a season sweep of the Lady Chaparrals.
Allea Harris also had nine points for the Lady Eagles, while Kendyl Wright led the Lady Chaparrals with eight points.
With the win, Argyle improves to 25-6 overall and 4-3 in District 9-3A play.
Denton 55, Fort Worth Brewer 20
FORT WORTH — The Lady Broncos earned their third District 5-4A victory of the season with a rout of the Lady Bears.
Lyric King led all scorers with 13 points as the Lady Broncos had five players with seven or more points.
The win improves Denton to 8-20 on the season.
Guyer 48, Lake Dallas 46
After being down 26-18 at halftime, the Lady Wildcats outscored the Lady Falcons 30-20 in the final two quarters to take a narrow victory.
The Lady Wildcats sported five players with at least eight points, with Tierney Peters leading the way with 11 points. Megan Dando led all scorers with 20 points for Lake Dallas, while Ashley Hayes added 15 points in the loss.
The win improves Guyer to 21-7 on the season and 11-2 in District 5-4A play.
Ryan 38, Coppell 31
COPPELL — The Ryan Lady Raiders improved to 6-3 in District 5-5A play with a victory over Coppell.
Danielle Richardson led Ryan with a game-high 13 points, while Mariah Young added nine. The victory moves Ryan to 15-16 overall on the season.
Liberty Christian 57, Dallas Ursuline 35
The Lady Warriors used a 15-2 second quarter to take control on their way to the win.
Rebekah Hand scored a game-high 18 points, while her twin sister, Hannah, added 15 points and Sydney Goodson had 12.
With the win, Liberty moves to 18-13 on the season and 7-2 in TAPPS 1-5A play.

ARGYLE — Allyson Book’s two goals helped give the Argyle Lady Eagles a victory over the Prosper Lady Eagles on Friday night.
Book scored both of her goals on free kicks from outside the 30-yard line, while Argyle goalkeeper Sierra James stopped five shots.
