Volleyball roundup: Guyer upends Azle

Emily Hill had 14 kills and 16 digs to lead Guyer past Azle 25-15, 24-26, 25-15, 25-18 on Tuesday night.

Madison Walford posted 16 digs and 34 assists for the Lady Wildcats (27-9, 10-1 in 5-4A), while Sydney Reyes had 16 kills and Jasmine Montemayor added 14 digs.

Guyer plays at Wichita Falls Rider at 6 p.m. Friday.

Lewisville d. Ryan

LEWISVILLE — The Lady Raiders were swept 25-14, 27-25, 25-4 by Lewisville.

Ryan (7-31, 0-8 District 5-5A) plays host to Coppell at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Argyle d. Frisco Lone Star

ARGYLE — The Lady Eagles swept Frisco Lone Star 25-15, 25-8, 25-10 to improve to 6-0 in District 10-3A.

Brooke Robertson led Argyle (27-9) with 12 kills. Alexa Bass had 19 assists and Strealy Sizelove had 13. Laine Lowry posted 11 digs.

The Lady Eagles will play host to Carrollton Ranchview at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Celina d. Aubrey

AUBREY — The Lady Chaps dropped to 2-5 in District 10-3A with a 21-25, 25-10, 25-19, 25-18 loss to Celina.

Micayla Porter had eight kills, 12 assists and one ace for Aubrey, while Hannah Schmitz had seven kills with two blocks and Alex Martinez had 19 assists.

Aubrey plays at home against Princeton at 5 p.m. Friday.

Pilot Point d. Gunter

GUNTER — Kirby Smith had 12 kills and 18 assists to lead Pilot Point past Gunter 25-14, 25-21, 14-25, 25-23.

Ashtyn Richey added 13 kills, while Marissa Morris recorded 17 assists for the Lady Cats. Abby Switzer added four blocks, and Mackenzie David had 10 aces.

The Lady Cats (17-13, 8-3 in 12-2A) play host to Sunnyvale at 5 p.m. Friday.

Liberty Christian d.

Fort Worth Nolan Catholic

ARGYLE — Liberty Christian defeated Fort Worth Nolan Catholic in four sets, 19-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-18.

Olivia Asprey contributed eight kills, eight digs and 20 assists for the Lady Warriors. Ali Eager recorded 15 kills and two blocks, Hanna Elsey had nine kills, three blocks and two aces and Shelby Westbrook added 15 digs.

The Lady Warriors play host to Dallas Bishop Lynch at 6 p.m. Thursday.
