Volleyball: Calvary opens playoffs with win

The Denton Calvary Academy Lions, the defending TAPPS 2A state champion, open defense of that title with a three set sweep of Cambridge School of Dallas Tuesday night.

The Lions rolled to a 25-7, 25-12, 25-12 sweep of Cambridge to advance to the second round of the playoffs. Calvary will host either Holy Trinity Catholic High School of Temple or Longview Christian Heritage School on Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church.
