Basketball roundup: Wildcats whip Wakeland

Four Guyer players combined to hit nine 3-pointers and the Wildcats rolled to a win over Frisco Wakeland on Wednesday.

Guyer jumped out to a 22-8 lead after the first quarter and cruised the rest of the way while improving to 5-3 on the season.

Miles Crawford and Sean Choate each scored 17 points to pace Guyer.

KRUM — The Krum Lady Cats used balanced scoring from six players and held off a fourth quarter charge by Bowie to take a two-point victory.

Krum led 27-23 heading into the final quarter before Bowie rallied. Kylee Myers led the scoring for Krum with 12 points while Caylee Thomas added 7 and Mackenzie Ripple finished with 6.
