With the conclusion of the UIL baseball state tournament over the weekend, the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association released its annual all-state awards Monday morning.
Aubrey and Argyle combined to have three players, all underclassmen, selected to the Class 4A All-State team.
Sophomore outfielder Dillon Carter, who committed to TCU this season, was a first-team selection after leading the Eagles with a .500 batting average. Junior first baseman Bryson Hudgens led the team with 39 RBI and earned a spot on the second-team. Argyle advanced to the regional semifinals as the state's No. 1 team before falling to No. 4 Texarkana Pleasant Grove.
Aubrey junior shortstop Taylor Swarbrick was named to the first-team after hitting .462 with 37 RBI. Swarbrick helped guide the Chaparrals to the area round before Sanger edged Aubrey in a three-game playoff.
