ALEDO — The Guyer Lady Wildcats knocked off a tough Aledo Bearcats team Tuesday in four tightly contested sets.
Guyer took Sets 1 and 2 by scores of 25-17 and 25-18, respectively. Aledo bounced back with a 27-25 win before Guyer would seal the match with a 25-22 win in the fourth set.
Mallory Pittman led Guyer with 17 kills and six digs, while Angle Felan added 20 assists and 18 digs.
Guyer improved to 20-7 and returns to play with a match at Argyle on Friday at 6 p.m.
Sanger d. Frisco Lone Star
SANGER — The Sanger Lady Indians won 25-16, 24-26, 25-14, 27-29, 15-9 over Frisco Lone Star.
Sydney Price recorded 21 kills and eight blocks for Sanger. Kenzie Turkoly provided the setup for the offense with 46 assists.
Blue Ridge d. Pilot Point
PILOT POINT — Pilot Point continued to struggle, falling to Blue Ridge in five sets. The team fell to 4-18 on the season.
Kim Burns and Kassady Vandagriff provided 13 kills and 11 kills, respectively, for Pilot Point, while Brooke Lane put up 25 kills, but the effort fell just short in the fifth set. Blue Ridge took Set 5 by a score of 15-10.
Pilot Point is back in action against the Red River Rattlers home school team Friday.
Liberty Christian d. Fort Worth Nolan Catholic
ARGYLE — Liberty Christian downed Fort Worth Nolan Catholic in four sets as Sabrina Simms provided a solid offensive performance with 14 kills and two solo blocks.
Liberty's Taylor Scalzi was outstanding with 52 assists and two aces. Ella Marr rounded out the offensive leaders with 14 kills.
Cavalry d. Irving Highlands
Calvary defeated Irving Highlands in five sets with a scrappy effort. Calvary picked up Sets 2 and 3 before rolling in the final set 15-9.
Calvary's Claire Wickers recorded 16 kills while Cara Pool added 13. Zoe Gattis provided all 23 assists as Calvary improved to 7-13.
