WICHITA FALLS — The Lady Raiders of Ryan gave Wichita Falls no chance Tuesday night, topping Old High 25-12, 25-9, 25-13.
Ryan's Ashley Schroeder did a little bit of everything on the court with her two aces, four blocks, six kills and 11 digs. Taylor Brann was also a big contributor in the victory, leading the team with 28 assists while having three kills and six digs.
Ryan (23-11, 5-0 district) will travel to take on Braswell at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Argyle d. Gainesville
GAINESVILLE — The Argyle Lady Eagles cruised to a dominating three set win over Gainesville, 25-10, 25-17, 25-10.
Argyle was led by Alyssa Wallace's 20 digs on defense and Mariah Hesslegesser's seven kills and two blocks.
With the win, the Lady Eagles improve to 1-1 in District 9-4A going into Friday night's matchup against visiting Krum at 5:30 p.m.
Aubrey d. Bonham
BONHAM — After a tight win in the first set, the Aubrey Lady Chaps were able to take off in the next two and defeat Bonham 25-21, 25-9, 25-16.
Katherine Knight and Kaia Saylor were their usual selves, as Knight had one block, one ace and a team-high 32 assists while Saylor pitched in with two blocks, two aces and a team-high 14 kills.
Aubrey (14-18, 1-1) will host Melissa at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Krum d. Bridgeport
KRUM — The girls of Krum continued their dominating season with a clean sweep of Bridgeport, 25-5, 25-12, 25-19.
Madeline Guffy took charge of the Krum offense with 16 assists and four aces. Rhett Robinson was in on the action with her 11 kills and four aces.
Krum (26-8, 2-0) will look to stay undefeated at Argyle on Friday night.
The Colony d. Lake Dallas
CORINTH — Lake Dallas battled but failed to get a lead against The Colony, falling 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.
Even in a losing effort, Kasey Bortnem put up big numbers with 30 assists and 16 digs.
Lake Dallas (3-3) will host Carrollton Smith at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Whitesboro d. Pilot Point
WHITESBORO — The Pilot Point Lady Bearcats continued to struggle in District 9-3A with a 25-20, 25-14, 25-17 loss to Whitesboro.
Shelby Malone played a hard-fought game for the Lady Bearcats, recording two kills, three blocks and 13 digs.
Pilot Point (1-5) will have Friday night off before traveling to Ponder on Tuesday.
