MCKINNEY — In the final day of the Collin County tournament, Argyle scored four runs in the first inning to beat Keller Fossil Ridge 4-0.
Bryson Hudges, Chad Ricker, Austin King and Cade Merka each drove in a run Eagles. Hudges was the lone player to have multiple hits in the game.
Ricker also tossed six scoreless innings while allowing only two hits and striking out five. Ian Walters came in to to finish off the game in the seventh.
Argyle will compete in the Melissa tournament starting Thursday.

Denton splits pair
JUSTIN — Denton went 1-1 on the final day at the Justin Northwest tournament.
The Broncos lost 4-2 against Temple and earned an 8-0 win against host team Justin Northwest.
Against Temple, Denton couldn't hold onto its early 2-1 lead. Chris Gurley and Caden Greanead collected the only two hits for the Broncos in the loss.
However, the bats came to life against Northwest as the Broncos were able to bring in eight runs on seven hits. Jan Cabrera tossed a complete-game shutout while allowing only one hit and striking out eight. Brooks Bedinger brought in a team-high three RBIs while going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Denton next will compete in the Crowley ISD tournament starting with Saginaw Chisholm Trail at 12:15 p.m. Thursday.

Lake Dallas wins one of two
HURST — Lake Falcons fell short in a 5-4 loss to Paschal to open the day at the Hurst. L.D. Bell tournament, but it bounced back to top Haltom City 6-1.
In Game 1, Lake Dallas used a three-run seventh to rally and take a 4-2 lead, but Paschal countered with three runs of its own in the bottom half to walk off a winner.
Ryan Hull went 2-for-3 with a two of the team's four RBIs in the losing effort.
Jakob Muchuca tallied three RBIs in the win against Haltom City. York went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Falcons.

Aubrey goes 1-1 to finish weekend
Aubrey walked out of the weekend with a 6-1 loss to Braswell and a 4-1 win against Pilot Point.
Against Braswell, the Chaps could not get runs across the plate and were held to one run on six hits. Cody Johnson went 2-for-3 in the losing effort.
Aubrey bounced back against Pilot Point behind the pitching performance of Zak Taylor, who went six innings while allowing three hits and one run.
Aubrey (4-3) next will compete in the Sherman/Denison tournament, kicking off action against Sanger at 11 a.m. Thursday.
