Football: Argyle’s Wilson switches commitment to Texas Tech

Argyle senior defensive back Connor Wilson has withdrawn his commitment to Kansas State and orally committed to Texas Tech, Argyle coach Todd Rodgers said Tuesday.

Oral commitments are nonbinding. The first day a class of 2014 graduate can sign a national letter of intent is Feb. 5. Wilson joins Argyle receiver Ian Sadler, who also has orally committed to Texas Tech.

Through three games this season, Wilson has two interceptions, 15 tackles, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He has swatted away four passes.

Wilson committed to Kansas State in April along with Argyle teammate Sam Sizelove.
