Tennis: Doubles Champs

Denton Calvary Academy’s Laura Grunden and Amy Grunden claimed their second TAPPS 2A state doubles title last Thursday in Waco. The sister duo defeated Camille Prulheire and Marie Prulheire from the Dallas International School 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 in the semifinals and then defeated Anja-Jane Pauli and Joanna Walzebuck from Tomball The Woodlands Preparatory School 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 in the finals. The Grunden sisters won the same title in 2012.
