Volleyball: Calvary wins regionals, heading to state tournament

FRISCO – The Denton Calvary Academy Lions are Final Four bound.

For the second straight year, Denton Calvary has earned a berth in the TAPPS 2A state tournament following a five-set victory over Rockwall Heritage Christian Academy Tuesday night.

Calvary knocked off Rockwall Heritage 25-14, 25-13, 12-25, 23-25, 15-6 to secure its place in the state tournament, which begins Friday in San Antonio. The Lions will face DeSoto Canterbury in one of the semifinal matches set for 1 p.m. at Palo Alto College.
