The Calvary Lions had to survive a fourth quarter rally by Lakehill Prep Warriors on Saturday night to walk away with a 61-59 victory in the TAPPS 2A area round playoffs.

The Lions led 30-26 at halftime and pushed the lead to 44-37 heading into the final quarter before Lakehill began its fourth quarter rally.

Tyler Gerwig and Brennen Bloom shared high-scoring honors for the Lions with 22 points each while Joseph Peters added eight.

Calvary now moves on to face Waco Vanguard in the quarterfinal round. A time and place ihas not been determined.
