What’s on the line: Argyle looks to build on its 28-7 win over TAPPS powerhouse Fort Worth Nolan last week by facing a Paris team coming off a victory over a struggling Class 4A program in Denison. Argyle is still waiting to see its offense in full swing.

What’s on the line: Still searching for his first win as Aubrey’s head coach, Mike Segleski will have to find a way to contain a Whitesboro offense that has scored 68 points in two games, even though they were losses.

Where: Bobcat Stadium

Records: Alvord (1-1), Krum (2-0)

What’s on the line: With an enrollment more than double that of Alvord’s, Krum will look to remain undefeated on the season while playing its third Class 2A school. A win will help build confidence, but a loss could go a long way toward crushing what they’ve built up.

Where: Indian Stadium Records: Sanger (0-2), Pilot Point (2-0)

What’s on the line: Sanger is looking to bounce back from a futile loss to Liberty Christian that saw Sanger’s new offense muster only eight first downs. Pilot Point has found a new star runner in quarterback Travis Garrett, who eclipsed the 200-yard mark in last week’s win.

What’s on the line: Ponder looks to string together back-to-back wins and hand Fort Worth Castleberry its third loss of the young season. Ponder QB Reid Sanders had a strong outing against Alvord last week, and he’ll hope to do the same this week.

What’s on the line: Calvary put together an improved effort against Austin Veritas last week, but the Lions still lost by 20. Led by the offensive attack of Jessie Wells and QB Justin Rush, Calvary will try to win its first game of the young season. against a historically strong program.

Hill Country player to watch: DL Evan O’Laughlin



When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Bobcat Stadium Records: Liberty (2-0), Celina (1-1)

What’s on the line: Celina is coming off a 49-7 drubbing of Crandall for the Bobcats’ first win of the season. Liberty enters its third game of the season with an undefeated record. The Warriors will look to keep their ledger spotless and put a damper on homecoming.
