Ke’Von Buris, Denton, football
Buris’ second touchdown against Forth Worth Western Hills led the Broncos to back-to-back wins. Buris had a dazzling performance, posting 127 yards on eight catches and two touchdowns. After winning one game in 2011, Buris and the Broncos have won two of their first three games.
Nick Ralston, Argyle, football
As the focal point of Argyle’s offense, the sophomore running back had another huge performance. Ralston had 26 carries for 179 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ rout of Paris. Through three games, Ralston is averaging 131 rushing yards per game.
Tavi Sanches, Guyer, football
Sanches played an integral role in Guyer’s first win of the season against Flower Mound Marcus. Sanches, one of two returning full-time defensive starters, racked up six tackles, two pass deflections and an interception. Guyer only allowed 181 total yards to the Marauders on Friday night.
Brennan Sooter, Ponder, football
Ponder’s running back ensured the Lions earned their second win of the season. Sooter rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns, with the final touchdown coming on a 1-yard run with 2:02 left in the game, sealing the victory for Ponder and first-year head coach Russ Phillips.
Caz Wojciak, Krum, football
Wojciak has been one of the main reasons Krum is still undefeated after three games. Krum’s quarterback turned in an impressive performance against Alvord. Wojciak ran for 171 yards and three touchdowns, while passing for two other touchdowns and 111 yards.
