D.J. Breedlove, Guyer, football
The junior running back had a rushing touchdown in each of the first three quarters of Friday’s 62-0 rout of Denton before being removed in the third quarter. Breedlove ran hard all night and finished his night with 96 yards on 10 carries to go with the three touchdowns.
Reed Flores, Krum, football
Once again, Flores was a key component in the Bobcats remaining undefeated this season. The senior running back racked up 207 rushing yards on only 15 carries and scored three times as part of the Bobcats’ punishing ground attack that totaled 512 yards on 46 carries.
Ellis Jefferson, Guyer, football
Jefferson made his presence felt immediately on Friday night, scoring on a 63-yard deep post on Guyer’s first offensive snap in its 62-0 win over Denton. He also scored just before the half to give Guyer a 42-0 lead going into halftime. He finished with three catches for 85 yards.
Nick Ralston, Argyle, football
The sophomore running back provided a big lift for his team after Argyle trailed at halftime to Dallas Madison. Ralston finished his night with 22 carries for 127 yards and scored twice — both in the second half, including the game-sealing touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Ian Sadler, Argyle, football
Despite once again not finding many touches through the Argyle offense, the do-it-all threat found a way to impact the game as Argyle came back from a halftime deficit to beat Dallas Madison. He scored Argyle’s first touchdown on a 92-yard kickoff return — his fourth return touchdown this year.
