Records: Fort Worth Brewer (5-3, 2-3), Lake Dallas (4-4, 2-3)

What’s on the line: The Falcons won for the first time since their District 5-4A opener last week against Wichita Falls. They’ll have to win again if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive after entering the season as a favorite to reach the postseason.

Lake Dallas player to watch: DB Roman Mitchell

BRIDGEPORT AT SANGER

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Indian Stadium

Records: Bridgeport (3-5, 1-1), Sanger (0-8, 0-2)

What’s on the line: Sanger is still searching for its first win of the season after 9-1 regular-season finishes the past two seasons. It could be difficult to come by against Bridgeport.

AUBREY AT ARGYLE

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Eagle Stadium

Records: Aubrey (2-6, 0-2), Argyle (7-1, 2-0)

What’s on the line: An Aubrey loss would eliminate the Chaps from playoff contention while the Eagles are looking to continue a roll of two straight shutouts over Carrollton Ranchview and Frisco Lone Star in which they’ve outscored opponents 125-0.

Aubrey player to watch: TE Colin Scribner

Argyle player to watch: LB Brian Kanzaki

PILOT POINT AT BOWIE

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Jackrabbit Stadium

Records: Pilot Point (6-3, 3-2), Bowie (6-2, 2-2)

What’s on the line: The Bearcats lost last week to first-place Whitesboro and need to win to keep pace with Callisburg and Boyd, which both have a half-game lead on Pilot Point.

Pilot Point player to watch: QB Travis Garrett

Bowie player to watch: LB Tod Jackson

KRUM AT GAINESVILLE

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Leopard Stadium

Records: Krum (9-0, 3-0), Gainesville (8-0, 2-0)

What’s on the line: Quite simply: the District 9-3A title. Gainesville was expected to be in this position; Krum was not. Expect all 4,160 seats at Leopard Stadium to be occupied for one of the bigger games in the state this week.

Krum player to watch: DB Travis White

Gainesville player to watch: RB Adam Berryman

FORT WORTH NOLAN AT LIBERTY CHRIST.

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Bowles Stadium

Records: FW Nolan (6-2, 4-0), Liberty (5-3, 2-2)

What’s on the line: Nolan, whose only losses have come to 4A power Lancaster and 3A power Argyle, enter the game as the district frontrunner and will look to keep the Warriors at arm’s length in the standings.
