Thirty-three Denton-area players have been recognized by the Texas High School Coaches Association as members of the academic all-state team.
Guyer, Ryan, Lake Dallas, Argyle, Ponder, Krum and Sanger had players named to the unit. Players must be a senior, must have an average grade of 92 or above and must be a member of the team in good standing when nominated by their coach.
Ryan had nine players on the list, followed by Lake Dallas with eight, Argyle and Guyer with four apiece, Ponder and Krum each with three and Sanger with two.
