TEMPLE — Liberty Christian’s Javier Manrique finds himself alone in third place in the TAPPS 5A boys state championship being played at Wildflower Country Club.
Manrique fired a 1-over 73 and trails the leader by six strokes heading into today’s second round.
“Javier only hit eight fairways today and seven greens,” Liberty Christian head coach Larry Frank said. “He chipped and putted great, but he must play well [today] to have a chance to win the state medalist title.”
