Football: Edwards earns national award

On Wednesday, the Touchdown Club of Atlanta awarded Ryan senior Mario Edwards the Bobby Dodd Defensive Player of the Year Award. The organization was founded in 1936.

Edwards was named a Parade All-American after compiling 72 tackles and 11 sacks last season.

Edwards will attend Florida State this fall.
