Former Denton defensive tackle Henry Davis will play in the Oil Bowl on Saturday in Wichita Falls. The game will take place at Memorial Stadium, with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.
The first Oil Bowl was played in 1938, and notable former players include Skip Hicks, Graham Harrell and Wes Welker.
Davis was a late replacement for the game. The contest features a team of players from Oklahoma against a team of players from Texas.
Davis is headed to Southwestern Baptist in the fall. He was an All-District 4-4A first-team selection last season, posting 63 tackles and six sacks. Davis was a three-year starter for the Broncos.
