TROPHY CLUB — Lake Dallas fell to 3-6 in District 5-4A play Friday night after getting swept by Trophy Club Byron Nelson 25-11, 25-23, 25-18.
This was the Lady Falcons’ second loss to Nelson this season.
Megan Dando led Lake Dallas with 15 digs, 11 kills and three blocks, while Macy Bauman finished with 13 assists and five digs.
“Byron Nelson is undefeated for a reason, they’re a very good team and well coached,” Lake Dallas head coach Heather Van Noy said. “We played well, our scores improved since we played them last, but it just didn’t fall in our favor.”
Flower Mound d. Ryan
FLOWER MOUND — The Lady Raiders were swept by scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-10 as they fell to 6-21 on the season. Flower Mound improved to 27-7.
Argyle d. Aubrey
ARGYLE — Blair O’Brien recorded 38 assists, seven digs, two aces and two digs to lead the Lady Eagles past the Lady Chaps 25-10, 25-15, 25-9.
Brooke Robertson had 12 kills, eight digs and three service aces to help lead Argyle, which improved to 25-10 for the season.
Maggie McCullough had eight kills and Kelsey Scribner added six for Aubrey (15-16, 0-4 District 10-3A).
Pilot Point d. Van Alstyne
VAN ALSTYNE — AJ Campbell and Kirby Smith combined for 25 kills and 16 digs to lead the eighth-ranked Lady Bearcats to a 25-23, 25-18, 25-15 victory over Van Alstyne.
Campbell had 13 kills and 5 digs, and Smith had 12 kills and 11 digs. Feliciana Reed had six digs and 31 assists for Pilot Point (25-6, 8-0 District 12-2A), while Sierra Brooks had 15 service aces and Cassie Reed had 14.
Dallas Ursuline d. Liberty Christian
DALLAS — Ali Eager had 10 kills and Olivia Asprey had 14 assists, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Warriors fell 25-19, 25-19, 25-14.
The Lady Warriors are now 17-15 for the season and 1-9 in district play.
