Several area volleyball teams will continue their postseason runs in the coming days, while two will get their first taste this season of playoff action.
Argyle, the District 10-3A champion, had a first-round bye and will open its postseason against Ferris at 7 tonight at Grand Prairie. Pilot Point, the District 5-2A champion, will play its first game in the area round against Peaster at 7 tonight at Trophy Club Byron Nelson.
In other Class 3A action, Krum will face Irving North Hills at 7 tonight at Flower Mound Marcus after defeating Frisco Lone Star in the bi-district round Tuesday.
On Friday, Guyer will look to build on its bi-district win over Saginaw Boswell when it faces Burleson in the Class 4A Region I area round at 7 p.m. at Saginaw Chisholm Trail, while Guyer’s district mate Denton will face Aledo at 6:30 p.m. at Fort Worth Brewer.
In TAPPS action, Calvary will play a state semifinal match against DeSoto Canterbury at 1 p.m. Friday at San Antonio’s Palo Alto College.
