Lady Wildcats roll past Western Hills

The Guyer Lady Wildcats started the season with a victory, defeating Fort Worth Western Hills 42-31 in the first round of the Guyer Shootout.

Quamese Moss led the Lady Wildcats (1-0) with 16 points, eight steals and four rebounds. Katy Davis recorded nine points, four rebounds and three steals, while Ola Akinninyi had seven rebounds and four points.

 

Ryan 46, Plano Prestonwood 34

FRISCO — Ryan improved to 1-1 on the season after defeating Plano Prestonwood Christian at the Frisco Invitational tournament.

Jeffreyonna Holley led the Lady Raiders with 12 points, while Teana Ogden had 11 and Morgan Davis and Maria Young each added six points for Ryan.

 

Liberty Christian 46, Colleyville Heritage 42

COLLEYVILLE — The Liberty Christian Lady Warriors improved to 2-1 on the season after defeating Colleyville Heritage.

Rebekah Hand led the Lady Warriors with 19 points, followed by Sydney Goodson with 13. Rachel Rainwater added seven points, while Ali Gardner had five and Lindsey Lassiter had two.

“The girls gave a great effort,” Liberty head coach Ken Burroughs said. “We played our best defensive game so far.”
