Girls' basketball roundup: Guyer off to 2-0 start

Guyer remained unbeaten after defeating Dallas Sunset 60-19 on Friday in the Guyer Shootout.

Quamese Moss led the Lady Wildcats (2-0) with 13 points, while Bre Clay-Baker and Tierney Peters both added 11.

 

Princeton 38, Ponder 29

PONDER — Despite a nice effort by Shayla Cozart, who had 11 points and four rebounds, the Lady Lions fell to Princeton.

Madison Stout recorded 10 points and eight rebounds for Ponder.

“I was proud of our effort and the way we competed,” Ponder head coach Bobby Bates said after the game.

 

Krum 54, Wichita Falls Rider 42

WICHITA FALLS — Rachel Wallace led the Lady Cats with 14 points in the win over Wichita Falls Rider.

Caitlyn Arnold recorded 13 points for Krum (2-0), while Julia Schmaltz had 10 and Allison Beck had eight.

 

Aubrey 36, Sherman Texoma 37

AUBREY — The Lady Chaparrals saw their record slip to 1-1 after the narrow loss to Sherman Texoma Christian.

Mahaley Millican led Aubrey with 21 points, while Kendyl Wright had 11.
