PROSPER — Ryan’s Gilbert Jackson pumped in 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds as the Ryan Raiders opened their 2012-13 season Friday night with a 44-33 victory over Prosper.

 

Denison 74, Sanger 66

DENISON — Tyler Roelfs led the Indians with 16 points, but it wasn’t enough in the loss.

 

Liberty Christian 48, Ponder 40

PONDER — Despite Clay Morgan’ 20 points, the Lions fell to Liberty Christian in the Ponder tournament.

 

Ponder 66, Lubbock Trinity Christian 62

PONDER — Clay Morgan led the Lions with 30 points and 12 rebounds.

 

Aubrey 73, Chant HSA 51

AUBREY — Aubrey won its first game of the season, beating Chant HSA 73-51.

The Chaparrals were led by Michael Paige’s 26 points, followed by Curtis Knicker with 16 points and Bry-len Williams with 10.

Guyer 60, Dallas Pinkston 9

DALLAS — Guyer remains unbeaten after crushing Dallas Pinkston.

Katy Davis and Ola Akinninyi led the Lady Wildcats (5-0) with 12 points each, while Quamese Moss recorded eight.

 

A&M Consolidated 52, Ryan 37

Irving McArthur 34, Ryan 32

ALLEN — Ryan fell to 3-6 on the season after losing to A&M Consolidated and Irving McArthur in the Allen tournament.

Mariah Young led the Lady Raiders with 27 points on the night and was followed by Ashtyn Lovett who had 17.

 

Lake Dallas 44, Denton 32

RICHARDSON — The Lady Broncos saw their record fall to 0-4 with a loss to Lake Highlands.

Le’Andra Johnson led the scoring for Denton with nine points, while April Pena had six.

 

Alvord 45, Ponder 44

Saginaw 50, Ponder 46

PONDER — Ponder dropped to 2-5 after losing to Alvord and Saginaw.

Madison Stout led Ponder with 29 points, 13 rebounds and three assists, while Shayla Cozart recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds for Ponder.
