The Calvary Lions lost their opening-round TAPPS playoff game 55-8 to New Braunfels Christian Academy on Saturday at Cedar Park High School.
Junior quarterback Justin Rush was 7-of-16 passing for 93 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
New Braunfels shut down the Calvary rushing attack as the Lions were
limited to minus-4 yards on 16 carries and took a 35-0 lead after the first quarter.
The Lions scored in the second quarter, but were shut out the rest of the way. The Lions end the season at 5-6.
Calvary’s Joseph Peters had three catches for 77 yards.
