Two area girls teams will start their postseason run tonight, while two more will open the UIL basketball playoffs on Tuesday.

Argyle and Sanger face off in the bi-district round tonight as the second half of a playoff doubleheader at TWU. The game is scheduled to begin after the first game between Gainesville and Celina, which starts at 6:30 p.m.

Argyle (26-6) and Sanger (17-14) renew an old district rivalry that ended when they were split up last year in the latest UIL realignment. The winner will face District 11-3A champ Wilmer-Hutchins in the area round later this week.

On Tuesday, Ryan (15-17), the third-place team out District 5-5A, will square off against 6-5A runner-up Hurst L.D. Bell at 6:30 p.m. at Carrollton Ranchview.

Guyer (21-8), the 5-4A runner-up, will face Saginaw Boswell (22-10) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Keller Central.

Krum, the District 9-3A champion, has a first-round bye and will face the Princeton-Ferris winner in the area round later this week.
