Baseball/softball roundup: Pilot Point dominates Leonard

Comments () A Text Size

PILOT POINT – The best way to describe Pilot Point’s 17-0 victory over Leonard on Monday is complete dominance.

First off, Pilot Point pitcher Preslee Gallaway allowed no hits and struck out six in the run-rule shortened District 12-2A victory. Secondly, every player in the Pilot Point lineup scored as the Lady Bearcats (16-0-1) put up 10 first inning runs and seven more in the second frame.

Skylar Cagle had two hits, including a home run and drove in five. Sierra Brooks, Haley Evans, Brittney Beckett and Mallory Ramsey all had two hits while Allison Strittmatter had a triple and scored twice.
