DALLAS — Each team collected four hits, but only Liberty Christian was able to capitalize on them in a 3-0 win over Dallas Bishop Dunne on Tuesday.

Connor McMann recorded the win for the Warriors on the mound.

Bridgeport 5, Krum 1

KRUM – The Bridgeport Bulls saw the best pitching the Krum Bobcats had to offer in Ty Damron but Bridgeport’s patience paid off in the long run as the Bulls were able to push across five runs in the final two inning to take a District 9-3A 5-1 victory.

Bridgeport broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the top of the sixth inning. Krum answered with a single run in the bottom of the frame but the Bulls added two more in the top of the seventh and Krum was blanked in its final at bat.

Omar Martinez picked up the win for Bridgeport, going the distance, striking out eight. Damron fanned 14 and took the loss.

Softball

Liberty Christian 4, Fort Worth Nolan 3

ARGYLE — Liberty Christian was able to rally after being down 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning against Fort Worth Nolan Catholic.

Liberty’s Marissa Finch hit a triple to drive in Rachel Rainwater, tying the game at 3. Natalie Nelson’s single scored Finch to put Liberty ahead, and the Lady Warriors improved to 5-0 in TAPPS Class 5A District 1.

Rainwater (6-2) allowed three runs on four hits.

Shelby Westbrook had a double for Liberty (6-4).

SANGER — Despite getting a triple from Laren Lotze, the Argyle Lady Eagles fell to Sanger.

Alyssa Bruton took the loss for Argyle, allowing seven runs on 13 hits.

FRISCO — Aubrey dropped its District 10-3A opener to Frisco Lone Star.

Kaley Reding took the loss for the Lady Chaps (17-4), allowing six runs on nine hits.

Azle 6, Denton 5

AZLE — Denton tried to rally from a 6-4 deficit in the seventh inning but fell short, dropping to 1-4 in District 5-4A action.

Natasha Kissel took the loss for Denton, allowing six runs on six hits.

Cori Wilkinson had two doubles for the Lady Broncos.

The Lady Raiders had five hits but couldn’t push anyone around to score against Flower Mound Marcus.
