Soccer roundup: Lake Dallas girls edge Denton, headed to playoffs

CORINTH — The Lake Dallas Lady Falcons are headed to the playoffs for the first time in five years after defeating Denton 2-1 at home.

With the win Lake Dallas improved to 3-5-2 in District 11-4A, putting them in fourth place.

Reagan Steider scored the Lady Falcon’s first goal with 13 minutes left in the first half and was assisted by Keeley Brewer. Brewer later scored halfway through the second half and was unassisted.

The Lady Broncos’ single goal was scored off of a penalty kick by Kyla Petri 10 minutes into the game.
