FORT WORTH — Ryan freshman Kate Soltero continued her strong season with a first-place finish at the Falcon Fast Invitational at Keller Timber Creek on Friday.

Soltero won the girls Class 5A 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:07. An error in the measuring of the course resulted in race that was about 320 meters short of 5,000.

Ryan’s Julia DeLeon finished 34th with a time of 20:30, and Missy Sosa crossed the line at 21:21.

In the boys 5,000-meter run, Denton’s Brandon McManus finished 11th at 17:02.97, while Alex Goff finished in 17:35.28, which was good enough for 19th.

In the girls 4A run, Denton’s Molly Burke finished in 12th at 22:55.64.
