Softball roundup: Argyle dominates host Decatur 11-2

DECATUR — The Argyle Lady Eagles erupted for four first-inning runs and then gradually pulled away to take a 11-2 victory over Decatur on Friday night.

Alyssa Bruton held Decatur to two runs on seven hits while striking out eight to take the victory and also drove in a pair of runs with a double.

Cheyennena Althoff and Kennedy Cullum also had RBIs for Argyle.


Pilot Point 24, Fort Worth Southwest 0

FORT WORTH — Pilot Point used a seven-run second inning and a nine-run third inning en route to a shutout victory over Fort Worth Southwest.

Preslee Gallaway had four hits and drove in six runs, while Allison Strittmatter had three hits and drove in five to lead the 15-hit attack.
