Baseball roundup: Liberty rallies past Covenant

ARGYLE — Liberty Christian erupted for six runs over its final two at-bats Friday as the Warriors defeated Colleyville Covenant 7-4.

Austin Smith earned the win in relief of starter Jordan Parker. Collin Stephenson had a double, two runs scored and two RBIs, while Connor McMann added two doubles and two RBIs for Liberty.


Aubrey 7, Whitesboro 5

WHITESBORO — In a playoff warm-up game, Aubrey took a big lead early and held off Whitesboro.

Cole Cannon and Connor Torbert each recorded two RBIs, and starter Blake Stevens earned the win on the mound.


Flower Mound 6, Ryan 1

Ryan dropped its season finale to Flower Mound, but defeated Coppell late Thursday.

In the loss, the Raiders (4-25-2, 2-12 District 5-5A) struggled at the plate, finishing with only three hits.

On Thursday, Ryan scored two runs in both the third and fifth innings, while Sam Watson allowed just one run.
