KRUM — Quarterback Caz Wojciak accounted for four touchdowns as the Krum Bobcats remained unbeaten after easily handling the Paradise Panthers 54-7 on Friday night at Bobcat Stadium.

“It feels really good,” Krum coach Gary Robinson said about the win. “We missed the 2A mark by 10 students, and we wanted to come out and show that if we were 2A, we would have rolled.”

Wojciak finished 9-for-13 passing for 99 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Dane White rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns, while Reed Flores ran for 71 yards and a score. Angel Martinez and Brennan Ellis each had a touchdown reception.

Even at 4-0, Robinson still thinks his team has a lot to prove, especially with their first 3A matchup against Wichita Falls Hirschi this Friday.

“What we are trying to do is earn respect,” he said. “We’ll play with a chip on our shoulder and play hard like we do every week.”

Krum wasted no time getting started as Josh Fleckenstein gained 40 yards on the first play of the game on a sweep. Four plays later, Flores punched it in from 2 yards out. After the missed extra point, the Bobcats held the 6-0 lead with 10:13 remaining in the first quarter.

The Bobcats’ defense quickly showed its strength when Travis White picked off Paradise’s Tanner Valentine’s pass and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown. With the 2-point conversion, the Bobcats were up 14-0.

Later in the quarter, Wojciak showcased his passing skills, hitting Angel Martinez for an 18-yard touchdown. Morgan Spraberry tacked on the extra point to make it 21-0.

Wojciak wasn’t finished because just moments later, after another Bobcats defensive stand, he connected with Brennan Ellis for a 35-yard score, stretching Krum’s lead to 28-0.

The Panthers answered with their only score as Valentine connected with Chris Lowery on a 62-yard touchdown.

Krum would answer right back. After breaking tackles on a 24-yard run, Wojciak powered in from 4 yards out and the Bobcats led 34-7 at the half.

Wojciak would find the end zone again in the third quarter on a 45-yard scoring run to put Krum up 41-7.

After a great punt return from Ellis, Dane White scored it in on the next drive, increasing the Krum lead to 48-7. White added another touchdown to finished the scoring.
