Ryan senior Cameron Jackson finished 11th and senior Jacob Rodgers finished 25th in Saturday’s Class 5A Region I cross country meet in Lubbock.

Jackson finished one place shy of qualifying for Saturday’s 5A state meet in Round Rock. Jackson finished with a time of 15:31.21, less than three seconds shy of Flower Mound junior Zachariah Hamstra, who finished 10th.

Hebron senior Robert Domanic finished first with a time of 14:41.85. Southlake Carroll finished first in the team standings, with four of its seven runners finishing in the top 10.

Jackson vastly improved on showing at the last year’s Class 4A Region I meet, where he was Ryan’s lone entry and finished 35th.
