Softball: Van edges Sanger for two-game sweep

SUNNYVALE — Despite its offensive shortcomings, Sanger was one run and 60 feet away from pushing Game 2 of their Class 3A Region II semifinal series against Van into extra innings.

Ponder players sign

Two Ponder football players recently signed letters of intent to play at the college level next season. Offensive lineman Coleman James signed with Corcordia University in Seward, Neb., while running back Brennan Sooter signed with Southwestern University in Georgetown.
