A busy summer is beginning to wind down for Sanger junior Madison Wilson.

Wilson, who finished seventh in the Class 3A discus competition at the UIL state meet in May, immediately turned her attention to her summer competition. Last weekend, Wilson competed in the TAAF Summer Games in Corpus Christi, winning the discus event with a toss of 126-6. She was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 33-4 3/4.

Wilson qualified for the TAAF state meet after winning in shot put and discus at TAAF regionals. In early July, Wilson competed in the Down Under Games in Brisbane, Australia, and finished 15th in shot put and seventh in discus.
