Volleyball roundup: Krum, Argyle cruise to wins, Aubrey falls to Caddo Mills

DALLAS — Krum had no trouble getting past the first round of playoffs and claiming the bi-district title, dominating Dallas Lincoln in a sweep, 25-6, 25-7, 25-5.

Rhett Robinson was a huge factor for Krum with her team-high 21 kills and five blocks. Madeline Guffy also helped out in the win, racking up 16 assists. Reese Robinson chipped in seven digs and six kills.

The District 9-4A champions are now 28-8 overall for the year and will face Caddo Mills in the area round later this week at a site and time to be determined.

Argyle d. Dallas Carter

DALLAS — The Argyle Lady Eagles collected 16 aces on their way to a controlling sweep against Dallas Carter, 25-10, 25-7, 25-6.

Argyle will represent District 9-4A when its battle Nevada Community on Thursday night in hopes of claiming the area championship. The game will be at 7p.m. at  Lebanon Trail High School in Frisco

Caddo Mills d. Aubrey

MCKINNEY -- Aubrey  saw its season come to an end when Caddo Mills rallied from a first set loss to sweep three straight sets 25-19, 23-25, 23-25, 19-25 to eliminate the Lady Chaparrals from the Class 4A Region II playoffs.

After winning the first set, Aubrey was in position to win sets two and three before Caddo Mills rallied late in each set to win. The Lady Chaparrals finished the season with a 21-10 record overall.

Kaia Saylor led Aubrey with 20 kills, 21 digs and two blocks. Katherine Knight had 47 assists, 12 digs, two aces and one block, Lauren Knapp had 13 digs followed by Laney Roos and Gillian Kister with 10 each. Wylie Dyer had 11 kills and Kister finished with nine. 

Caddo Mills advances to take on Krum in the area round later this week at a site and time to be determined.
