A Liberty Christian football player is expected to make a full recovery after he was injured during a Tuesday practice.
Liberty Christian spokeswoman Michelle Simms said the sophomore was injured during a routine drill at practice on Tuesday. She said school officials took extra precautions because the boy said he couldn't feel his extremities. His name was not released.
He was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital and underwent an MRI and CAT scan. Simms said both tests came back clear and the boy is expected to make a full recovery.
"The coaches and football players said the student was back to his jovial self as he shared a Big Mac with his teammates last night in the hospital," Simms said in an email.
