Golf: UNT women in sixth after two-round 604

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. — Three North Texas players were in the top 25 after the opening day as the UNT women sat in sixth place after two rounds of the Arkansas-Little Rock Women’s Golf Classic.

Addison Long is tied for 17th place after rounds of 74 and 75, while Jacey Chun (76-75) and Kelsey Kipp (76-75) are tied for 24th place.

The Mean Green shot a two-round score of 604 and is eight shots off the lead heading into the final round. UNT shot a 304 in the first round and 300 in the second.

Chaslyn Chrismer opened with a 78 but came back with a second-round 75 and is tied for 38th. McKenzie Ralson had rounds of 78 and 79.

The Mean Green is three strokes behind fourth-place UALR and Middle Tennessee, four behind second-place Louisiana-Monroe and Tulsa, and eight behind Oral Roberts (596).
