Softball: UNT swept by Louisiana-Lafayette

Jordan Wallace pitched a two-hit shutout to lead Louisiana-Lafayette to a 5-0 victory and a three-game conference sweep against North Texas on Sunday afternoon at Lovelace Stadium.

The Ragin’ Cajuns improved to 25-11 and 8-4 in the Sun Belt, while the Mean Green fell to 18-17 and 6-7 in the conference.

Wallace picked up her second win against UNT on Sunday with 16 strikeouts while issuing three walks. Wallace gave up both hits to Brooke Foster.

Brittany Simmons (6-6) took the loss for UNT, giving up all five runs and nine hits.

The Mean Green returns to action at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when it faces Oklahoma on the road.
