North Texas coach Dan McCarney will speak at a free youth football clinic conducted by the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic on June 16 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
McCarney will speak from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. during the clinic that is designed to promote youth football in North Texas. Players will participate in drills and learn fundamentals of the game from college coaches from schools throughout Texas.
McCarney is entering his 16th season as a head coach and led UNT to a 9-4 finish and a win over UNLV in the Heart of Dallas Bowl in his third season at UNT last year.
Players ages 7-10 can register from 8:15 to 9 a.m. before the clinic that will run from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Players ages 11-14 can register for the second session from 11 to 11:45 a.m. The second session will be from 12:45 to 3:15 p.m.
Lunch for players in both groups will run from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.

Also, a parent seminar with Frank Arrendondo, Conference USA’s director of compliance and sports services, will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. The seminar will include an overview of NCAA eligibility requirements and provide families of potential college athletes information on how to prepare their children for the transition from high school to college.
