North Texas senior shortstop Kelli Schkade was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-South Region team on Thursday.
Schkade was a third-team selection.
Louisiana Tech outfielder Morgan Turkoly, a former Sanger standout, was named to the Mideast Region's third team.
Schkade posted .346 batting average with eight doubles, five triples, nine home runs and 26 RBIs to go with her 41 runs scored. She set the UNT program record for career steals by pushing her total to 50 during her senior season.
Schkade was a two-time first-team All-Conference USA selection.
Turkoly hit .367 with 11 doubles, two triples and two home runs. She scored 34 runs and posted 36 RBIs.
Turkoly was also a first-team All-Conference USA selection and helped lead Louisiana Tech to the C-USA tournament title and a berth in the NCAA tournament. The Lady Techsters (37-22) will face top-ranked Minnesota in the Tuscaloosa Regional at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
UNT finished 25-31 after falling to Charlotte in the first round of the C-USA tournament.
