UNT projected starting lineup:

PG: Ryan Woolridge (6-3, Soph.) -- Woolridge scored 17 points and hit a pair of 3s in UNT's loss to UTEP. The sophomore has handed out 170 assists on the season and scored his 400th point of the year in his last outing. Woolridge is averaging 13.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

G: Roosevelt Smart (6-3, Soph.) -- Smart scored 16 points and hit all but one of his eight free throws in UNT's loss to UTEP. Smart hit one of his four 3-point attempts, marking the second time in UNT's last three games in which he has attempts five or fewer shots from behind the arc. He is averaging 18.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. Smart was named to the All-Conference USA second team this week.

G: A.J. Lawson (6-5, Soph.) -- Lawson scored 16 points on 6-of-14  shooting in UNT's loss to UTEP. He has scored in double figures in each of UNT's last three games. Lawson is averaging 9.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

F: Allante Holston (6-7, Jr.) -- Holston grabbed two rebounds in 13 minutes in UNT's loss to UTEP. Holston is averaging 3.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

F: Shane Temara (6-9, Sr.) -- Temara made his second straight start in UNT's loss to UTEP and finished with six points and a rebound. Temara is averaging 8.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Scouting Louisiana Tech: The Bulldogs are in a tailspin heading into the C-USA tournament. Louisiana Tech has lost four straight games since posting a surprising win over UAB on Feb.15. Senior guard Jacobi Boykins is averaging 14.6 points per game to lead the Bulldogs.

What you need to know: UNT has struggled late in the season, dropping six of its last seven and will look to rebound Wednesday in the opening round of the C-USA tournament.

Louisiana Tech beat UNT 66-65 in the regular season.

The interesting aspect of the rematch is the relative lack of experience UNT has in the postseason among its players.

Here's the advance that will appear in tomorrow's paper:

Sophomore Roosevelt Smart is averaging 18.8 points per game and was named to the All-Conference USA second team this week.

UNT will look to Smart to help the Mean Green extend their stay in Frisco in their first appearance in the conference tournament in two years. UNT missed the event last year.
