UNT teams set to compete in Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship

North Texas will have two teams participating in the Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship beginning today at Lewisville Lake.

Ben Cartwright and Josh Caldwell comprise one team for UNT, and will be joined on the lake by the team of Jesse Chambers and Sean Watson.

The UNT tandems will be among 150 teams from schools from the United States and Canada that are entered in the two-day event, which concludes on Friday. Boats will launch each morning from Sneaky Pete's in Lewisville, with a weigh-in slated for 3 p.m.

Among the other Texas schools entered are Baylor, Lamar, Midwestern State, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Texas Tech, UT-Arlington, Texas and UT-Tyler.
