LOS ANGELES — North Texas split two tough contests on the final day of the Loyola Marymount Invitational.

UNT capped its tourney run Saturday night by sweeping the Albany Great Danes 25-12, 25-13, 25-17.

The Mean Green maintained control throughout the match and dominated at the net, where Courtney Windham and Carnae Dillard found success offensively. Young setter Amy Henard notched 38 assists.

Earlier, No. 12 UCLA kept the Mean Green from finding its rhythm on offense in a 25-23, 25-16, 25-18 Bruins victory.

UNT’s Hanna Forst tied the first set at 18 with a block and slammed home a kill for a 19-18 lead, but UCLA quickly countered and won the set.

In the second set, UCLA pulled away midway through. The third set proved no different.

Los Angeles native Karissa Flack posted eight kills for a .538 attack percentage for UNT. Shelby Tamura finished with 11 digs, while Henard posted 25 assists.

UNT (1-2) will play its home opener at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Texas-Arlington.
