GRAND PRAIRIE — Grandview made quick work of Pilot Point 54-7 in the bi-district round of the Class 3A Division I playoffs at the Gopher-Warrior Bowl on Friday night.

The Zebras were led by massive offensive night from freshman quarterback Dane Jentsch and senior wide receiver Jake Goodman. Jentsch finished the night with 214 yards on 10-of-11 passing with four touchdowns.

Goodman added four touchdowns of his own on five catches for 120 yards. The Zebras had their foot on the gas the entire night and never let up to give Pilot Point a chance.

A bit of trickery got Grandview on the board first as a halfback pass found Goodman wide open in the back of the end zone for a 7-0 lead with 8:41 to play in the first quarter.

Goodman stuck again when he went 61 yards up the right sideline off a play-action pass. The extra point was no good, though. Earnest Crownover pushed the Zebra lead to 20-0 with a 53-yard touchdown run before a Kamron English touchdown catch in the second quarter made the score 26-0.

The Zebras piled on one more score before halftime with a quarterback keeper by Jentsch for a 33-0 lead. Grandview got through the first half with only one penalty for 5 yards of damage and amassed 310 yards of offense.

The Bearcats had only 75 yards of offense in the first half. The Bearcats' offensive woes continued until the final seconds of the game. With the clock nearing zero, Ty Hellman punched in an 11-yard run to get Pilot Point its only points of the night.

Hellman led Pilot Point with 52 yards rushing and a touchdown.

But the Zebras scored three times before Hellman punched one in. Ruben McCray caught a 48-yard touchdown pass, then Goodman caught a 7-yard pass to put Grandview up 47-0.

Goodman then returned a punt for a touchdown from 65 yards out to push Grandview's lead to 54-0 before Hellman's touchdown. Grandview finished with 405 yards of total offense while Pilot Point mustered only 143 yards as its season came to an end.
