The undefeated Navo eighth-grade “B” team broke open a tight game by outscoring Crownover 14-4 in the second quarter en route to a 41-23 victory, its seventh of the season.
The Lady Panthers held just a one-point advantage after the first quarter but pulled out to a 22-11 lead at halftime and never looked back.
Navo’s Samantha Simmons led all scorers with 16 points, while Alyssa Allen pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds and Nautica Ysasi posted eight rebounds and six steals.
Crownover eighth-grade A 47, Navo 28
The Lady Cowboys of Crownover put up 25 first-half points to take a commanding 25-13 lead over Navo at intermission.
Alexus Evans led Navo (4-3) with 14 points, while Carly Lesue had seven rebounds and Kendra Dora had four steals.
Little Elm eighth-grade A 57, McMath 11
Little Elm jumped out to a 17-point first-quarter lead and overwhelmed the McMath Lady Tigers in each period.
McMath (1-5) was led by Lily Mansour’s six points, as Jade Townes added three and Catilin Wilkins two.
Boys
Little Elm eighth-grade A 50, McMath 32
A 26-point Little Elm outburst over the second and third quarters was too much for the McMath Tigers to overcome.
Little Elm and McMath were tied at 7 after the first quarter, but Little Elm scored 12 points in the second quarter and 14 in the third to take a 33-21 lead.
Wyatt Folsom led McMath (2-5) with 10 points, while Dylan Baker had nine, Colt Atkinson had five and Connor Cocchiarella and Brendon Blount each had four.
Little Elm won the B-team game 41-24 and the C-team game 26-13.
